True North Housing Alliance Receives CalAIM Make a Difference Award from Partnership HealthPlan of California

[Chico, CA, 6/23/25] – True North Housing Alliance has been selected as a recipient of the CalAIM Make a Difference Award from Partnership HealthPlan of California, earning recognition for exceptional leadership in advancing California's groundbreaking CalAIM program. The organization received a $10,000 award for its innovative approach to creating more integrated, community-focused healthcare solutions.

True North Housing Alliance was among 16 organizations honored at ceremonies held in Fairfield and Redding in June 2025, celebrating partners who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to transforming healthcare delivery across Partnership's 24-county service region.

"The CalAIM program represents a fundamental shift toward this approach by treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. We’re honored to be a part of this crucial movement and to receive this recognition for our work to center the needs of our community members.”

The award acknowledges True North Housing Alliance’s success in improving service delivery, enhancing outcomes, and building program capacity over the past year. Selection criteria emphasized demonstrated excellence in capacity building, quality service delivery, and timely program implementation.

Partnership HealthPlan of California established the CalAIM Make a Difference Awards to celebrate organizations that embody the program’s core values of innovation, collaboration, and community impact. The inaugural awards recognize partners who have shown exceptional commitment to California's health care transformation efforts.

The CalAIM initiative, led by the California Department of Health Care Services, represents a comprehensive reimagining of Medi-Cal services. The program focuses on delivering holistic, coordinated care that extends beyond traditional medical settings to address social determinants of health, mental health needs, and community-based support services.

About True North Housing Alliance

True North Housing Alliance provides low-barrier service-enhanced shelter, housing, and street outreach to adults, families, college students, veterans and seniors experiencing homelessness in Butte County, operating 24/7. For 27 years, the nonprofit has focused on its mission of moving people forward and out of homelessness with compassion, dignity and accountability. Through its participation in CalAIM, the nonprofit has provided housing-focused case management, life skills training, and housing stability services to over 250 individuals.
